Why Start A Workplace Campaign

It's easy to get started, we do all of the heavy lifting and teach you everything you need to know. Most importantly, by holding your own United Way Campaign, you are offering your employees the opportunity to support their favorite nonprofits and causes. And when thousands of us work together, we can make a big difference in San Juan County.
  • A workplace giving campaign can increase employee engagement and provide an important means of deepening relationships between employees and the community.
  • Employees who engaged in corporate giving programs tended to have 75% longer tenures with the company.
  • 78% of Americans want companies to address social justice issues.
  • Over 90% of SJUW donors choose to support a nonprofit in San Juan County
  • 7 out of 10 people already donate to a nonprofit.

Payroll Deduction

When employees give through our easy payroll deduction, 100% of their gift goes back out to nonprofit programming. We do not retain any fundraising or administrative fees, thanks to our Cornerstone Partner's annual support.

100% Local

San Juan United Way is and always has been, a local organization, governed by a local Board of Directors. Unless we are directed by a donor designation, we do not send funding out of San Juan County.

Day Of Caring

Looking For More Ways To Get Involved?

PATH & Daily Bread are in need of commercial sized pots and pans

TOTAH Behavioral Health is in need of an industrial size dryer to provide the dignity of on-site laundry to people staying at the Sobering or Expansion Shelter.

San Juan United Way fights for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in our community.

We recognize structural racism, and ethnic discrimination and other forms of oppression have contributed to persistent disparities which United Way seeks to dismantle.

We understand that these disparities have existed in the past and persist into the present.

We acknowledge that these inequities are the result of policies and practices that work to marginalize entire populations of people.

We unequivocally denounce racism/ethnic discrimination because it undermines the well-being and vitality of our communities.

Our United Way network strives to engage community members, especially those whose voices have traditionally been marginalized.

We work with residents and public and private partners to co-create solutions that ensure everyone has the resources, supports, opportunities and networks they need to thrive.

We commit to leveraging all our assets (convening, strategic investments, awareness building, advocacy) to create more equitable communities.

Cornerstone Partners

Thanks to these local cornerstone companies for the many ways they support our work each year to ensure our annual operational costs are covered.

They help us stretch our dollar and it means we don't take any fees from donations so that 100% of what people donate goes to the cause or programs they care about!
