Our community-driven grant process ensures that funding goes directly to the most urgent local needs. If your organization is selected, a simple financial review will be conducted, but only at that stage. Community volunteers will review applications and ask follow-up questions through SJUW, and you’ll have the opportunity to provide any needed clarification.

The volunteer panel will begin reviewing applications the week of February 17. Funding decisions will be finalized by early March when grant payments will also be distributed. We anticipate awarding 10 Basic Needs Grants this cycle and will reopen applications quarterly.
